Size Guide

A well-fitted piece of jewelry is worn every day without a second thought. Here's how to choose the right size for your Fïve necklaces, rings, earrings, and hoops.

Necklaces

Length changes everything: choker-close, over the neckline, or longer for layering. Here are the standard lengths:

  • 35–40 cm — Choker: worn high, right at the neck.
  • 42–45 cm — Princess: falls at the collarbone, the most versatile length.
  • 50–55 cm — Matinee: falls at the neckline, ideal alone or paired.
  • 60–70 cm — Opera: falls over the chest, perfect for layering.
  • 80 cm and up — Rope: the longest length, to double up if you like.

How to measure: take a soft tape or a piece of string, wrap it around your neck at the desired height, then measure its length with a ruler. Also consider your body shape: a longer neck flatters shorter lengths, while a wider neckline pairs well with medium-to-long lengths.

Rings

In France, ring size corresponds to the finger's circumference in millimeters. For example, a 52mm finger circumference corresponds to a size 52.

Measuring your size at home

Wrap a thin strip of paper or string around your finger, mark where the two ends meet, then measure that length in millimeters with a ruler: that's your FR ring size. For more accuracy, measure at the end of the day, when your fingers are slightly more swollen, and avoid measuring with cold hands.

Conversion chart

FR Size Diameter (mm) US/UK Size
48 15.3 4 ½
50 15.9 5 ¼
52 16.6 6
54 17.2 6 ¾
56 17.8 7 ½
58 18.5 8 ¼
60 19.1 9

Between two sizes? Choose the larger size for more comfort, especially for rings worn every day.

Earrings

Studs, drops, or geometric shapes: comfort mostly depends on weight and length.

  • Studs: for everyday wear, generally no more than 1 to 1.5 cm.
  • Short drops (2 to 4 cm): discreet, suited to everyday use like the office.
  • Long drops (5 cm and up): more statement, best saved for occasions or a bolder look.

All our jewelry is hypoallergenic, nickel-free stainless steel — perfect for sensitive ears, even with extended wear.

Hoops

Diameter makes all the difference:

  • 10–15 mm — Small: discreet, perfect for everyday wear or a second piercing.
  • 20–30 mm — Medium: the most versatile size, from the office to dinner.
  • 35–50 mm — Large: bolder, pair with hair up to show them off.
  • 50 mm and up — Oversize: a statement piece, worn alone for maximum impact.

Tip: a rounder face is often flattered by thin, elongated hoops, while a longer face pairs well with wider, rounder hoops.
